Design Manager - Structural

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and coordination activities for complex building and infrastructure projects
• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, and drawings
• Ensure compliance with local and international engineering codes and standards
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and construction teams to resolve design conflicts
• Conduct structural analysis and provide technical recommendations
• Oversee the preparation of shop drawings and approve structural details
• Support project planning and provide technical input during the execution phase
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation for design approvals
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in structural design and coordination within contracting or consultancy firms
• Proficiency in structural analysis software including ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, and Revit
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and international standards
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
