Design Manager - Site

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design process for construction projects, ensuring seamless integration of architectural and engineering elements
• Manage and coordinate the design team, including architects, engineers, and other design professionals
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure design compliance and address on-site design challenges
• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design objectives are met
• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the design phase
• Analyze and resolve complex design issues by providing innovative solutions
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards
• Manage design budgets and timelines, optimizing resources for project success

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, with a proven track record in on-site design management
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building codes, and regulations
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead design teams effectively
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Demonstrated ability to ensure quality control in design processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to various construction sites within the UAE

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as PMP or LEED AP
