Design Manager - Rail and Transit

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams on large-scale Design-Build and Alternative Delivery rail transit projects
• Manage project planning, define goals, and devise methods to organize and deliver engineering tasks
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and commercial performance to meet financial and contractual goals
• Coordinate with third parties, including utilities, regional entities, and stakeholders, to ensure project requirements are met
• Formulate marketing and pursuit strategies, including teaming partner strategies for large pursuits
• Direct the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for assigned projects
• Oversee the establishment of Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans
• Act as the primary company representative with clients and subcontractors during program execution

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of related work experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY, CT, or NJ
• Proven experience as a Design Manager on Design-Build or Alternative Project Delivery (ADP) projects
• Strong background in leading multidisciplinary design teams on high-profile projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with MTA NY
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with current industry technologies and their effective application to projects
