Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams on large-scale Design-Build and Alternative Delivery rail transit projects
• Manage project planning, budgets, schedules, and technical execution to meet client objectives and financial goals
• Formulate marketing and pursuit strategies, including teaming partner strategies for large design-build pursuits
• Coordinate with third parties, including utilities, regional entities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
• Oversee the establishment of Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans
• Direct the integration of transit projects with urban design, master planning, and community considerations
• Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of related work experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY, CT, or NJ
• Proven experience as a Design Manager on Design-Build or Alternative Project Delivery (ADP) projects
• Strong background in leading multidisciplinary teams on high-profile, challenging projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the MTA NY
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with current industry technologies and their effective application to projects
