About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations, delegate tasks, and mentor junior designers
- Lead the production of construction drawings, lease exhibits, and zoning plans
- Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering drawings and maintain CAD standards
- Use AutoCAD to track site-specific designs, traffic control plans, and utility profiles
- Collaborate with Market and Project Managers to allocate resources and meet deadlines
- Oversee field activities including site surveys, mappings, and civil investigations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in fiber design (new builds, site mods, or fiber)
- Proven track record of managing project budgets
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret building codes
- Deep understanding of right-of-way, aerial pole surveys, cable placement, and construction techniques
- Strong ability to work autonomously and manage a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field
