Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead turnkey projects during the tender and design phases in close collaboration with Tender, Project, and Production Managers
• Assemble internal project teams and external consultant teams
• Lead consultant teams, including meeting management, contract negotiations, scheduling, and budgeting
• Hold overall responsibility for design management until handover to production
• Prepare and compile project materials that meet quality, authority, budget, schedule, and contract requirements
• Ensure involvement of internal specialists in areas such as sustainability, VDC/BIM, facades, technical disciplines, and steel/concrete structures
• Collaborate externally with engineers, architects, clients, and authorities to balance requirements with economy and legislation
• Contribute to maintaining and developing professional expertise within design management

Requirements

• Experience from the construction industry in a project management role
• Education as an Engineer or Building Constructor
• Approximately five years of experience in a similar role (or strong results with less experience)
• Proven ability to collaborate with clients, authorities, and consultants
• Strong project management skills with the ability to maintain overview during all project phases
• Ability to negotiate, prioritize, and make decisive decisions
• Proactive mindset focused on creating buildable and value-adding solutions
