Design Manager - JSM

Responsibilities

• Set a clear design vision for IT Services within the Service Collection and translate it into actionable roadmaps.
• Partner with leadership to shape AI-driven features across Rovo and JSM, focusing on helpseeker and agent experiences.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a diverse, distributed design team across multiple geographies.
• Lead the adoption of AI tools within the design workflow, evolving how the team researches, prototypes, and ships.
• Drive multiple initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality craft and measurable business impact.
• Communicate design plans persuasively to cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Research.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing designers and coaching them through complex product challenges.
• Strong craft sensibility with a "design leader first, people manager second" mindset.
• Proven experience leading teams through the shift to AI and integrating AI tools into daily design practices.
• Experience leading platform or complex conceptual work, ideally within SaaS or enterprise software.
• Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones and geographies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple large-scale projects in parallel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading product or content designers across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Background in enterprise SaaS environments.
• A track record of leading projects that integrate multiple crafts to deliver measurable user improvements.
• A deep understanding of how content serves as an essential part of the customer journey.
