Design Manager Ground and Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and follow up the design process regarding time, cost, quality, and content
• Lead, manage, and follow up design contracts and handle changes in scope
• Coordinate design work with other projects, specialists, and external stakeholders such as municipalities
• Review and quality assure design documents and follow up technical requirements in contracts
• Prepare complete tender documents for contract procurement
• Ensure environmental and work environment requirements are met in collaboration with BAS-P
• Represent the client in meetings with suppliers, external stakeholders, and authorities

Requirements

• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a contract manager, design manager, or project manager in detailed design for ground and civil engineering railway projects
• Documented education in contract law (AB and ABK)
• Documented education in BAS-P/BAS-U or ability to complete it before start
• Documented education in employer's work environment responsibility or ability to complete it before start
• Valid B-driver's license and access to a personal car for work travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design management for large railway projects as a client
• Experience coordinating multiple technical areas such as ground, structures, and roads
• Experience representing applicants in permit cases for water activities in the Land and Environment Court
