Design Manager - Bridge and Structures

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Capture Manager for Alternative Project Delivery (APD) projects, developing win strategies and leading proposals
• Lead and coordinate the resolution of complex structural technical issues by collaborating with subject matter experts
• Act as a Structures or Overall Design Manager for Design-Build projects, ensuring deliverable schedules and quality management procedures are met
• Manage staffing plans for projects and pursuits, including identifying hiring needs and leading recruiting efforts for bridge engineers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and execute Client Management Plans
• Support technology initiatives and provide technical training to promote the company's bridge engineering reputation
• Represent the company at key industry conferences and professional organization committees

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 20+ years of related professional work experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• Significant experience working on complex bridge projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Design/Build Design Manager
• Proven background engaging with multidisciplinary design teams on high-profile, challenging projects
• Active involvement in professional associations such as ASBI or DBIA
