Design Lead

Responsibilities

• Shape Wellmark’s brand through strategic design, creative execution, and thoughtful innovation
• Manage and own visual brand guidelines and styles to ensure cohesive image across all mediums
• Create design concepts and production artwork for print collateral, emails, presentations, and online publications
• Lead and mentor other creative professionals, providing subject matter expertise and guidance
• Collaborate with Marketing staff to establish visual standards for business segments and products
• Develop unique design concepts to solve business and brand challenges using data to inform decisions
• Partner with Marketing and Corporate Communications to move projects from idea to finished product
• Use project tracking software to log and track design projects and report to leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 6 years of related design experience
• Experience using content management systems in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience leading photo shoots for large scale projects
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Proficiency in both PC and MAC environments
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead, mentor, and document workflows for other professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• Adobe certifications
• Experience developing designs for websites and digital publications
• Knowledge of coding languages such as HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility compliance guidelines
