About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and engineering development for a portfolio of small-scale brownfield projects.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary engineering design for site-led projects.
  • Deliver engineering packages to sites for procurement and construction by collaborating with contractors and site teams.
  • Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes, including risk reviews and documentation updates.
  • Participate in and lead design reviews, Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, and 3D Model Reviews.
  • Manage and report on project engineering costs and schedules.
  • Act as the Process/Facilities Lead, providing technical guidance and developing PFDs, P&IDs, and Control Narratives.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to early-career engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, petroleum, or mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (Upstream, Refining, or Petrochemical).
  • Proven experience in Brownfield projects or technical services roles.
  • Strong knowledge of process design and process safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Authorization to work in India.
  • Ability to work full-time from the Bengaluru office and willingness to work specific shifts (1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST).
  • Willingness to travel nationally or internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with industry tools such as Aspen Hysys, HTRI, DNV PHAST, FLACS, Flarenet, or MS Projects.
  • Experience influencing contractors and multi-disciplinary teams.
