Design Lead Cockpit

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical compliance for cockpit structure design and system installations within the A220 program
• Participate in the analysis and implementation of changes with the program, supply chain, production, and customers
• Act as a technical interface for clients and suppliers
• Provide expertise to resolve non-conformity issues and assembly line problems
• Provide technical visibility to management, including technical summaries, progress reports, and risk identification
• Recommend and approve design modifications and technical documentation
• Analyze complex problems, conduct investigations, find root causes, and recommend solutions
• Define plans and coordinate assigned design activities
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training to professional teams and technologists

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, or a DEC Technique
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerostructure design
• Knowledge of primary and secondary structure manufacturing processes and requirements
• Understanding of airworthiness requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA) impacting aerostructures and system installations
• Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA
• Knowledge of aeronautical design methods and configuration management rules
• Strong project management and change management skills
• Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written)
