Design Lab & Social Media Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students working in the fashion studio
• Oversee studio preparation, cleanliness, inventory, and maintenance
• Manage the department’s social media content creation and scheduling
• Collaborate with faculty on department-wide projects, events, and administrative tasks
• Manage communications for current and prospective students, including job and internship postings
• Represent the department during student tours and act as a mentor for new students
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues for students and staff
• Coordinate with other departments for deliveries and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience managing or curating multiple social media accounts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer functions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with a professional demeanor
• Strong time management and planning abilities
• Must be eligible for the Federal Work-Study program and currently enrolled at DMACC

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Fashion student or someone with a strong interest in the fashion industry
• Previous experience in a supervisory or mentorship role
