Design Engineer Structures

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, structural details, sketches, and technical reports in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Ensure designs are correctly interpreted and accurately represented on technical drawings.
• Review shop drawings and perform quality design checks and drawing reviews.
• Coordinate with the drafting team to ensure timely delivery of markups and sketches.
• Assist Project Managers with technical documentation, correspondence, and attending project meetings.
• Conduct site inspections as required to support project execution.
• Apply safety in design processes and comply with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) obligations.

Requirements

• Registered Civil Engineer recognized by the relevant licensure regulatory board.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the structural design of multi-level residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Proven experience in the design of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and structural steelwork.
• Proficiency in structural design software including RAPT, RAM Concept, Microstran, and ETABS.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within an international design office.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards.
