Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop parts or assemblies for primary and secondary aircraft structural elements
• Create, modify, and optimize 3D models and technical drawings in compliance with industry standards
• Develop and interpret technical specifications and drawings for various assemblies
• Analyze modification requests and research technical specifications
• Identify root causes and resolve engineering issues
• Provide technical support to production and engineering teams
• Adhere to AS 9100 standards and company QMS procedures
• Assist in drafting quality procedures and share technical knowledge with the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (or a college diploma with 2 years of experience)
• Proficiency in design and modeling software, with CATIA V5 preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and take initiative
• Experience with primary and secondary aircraft structural elements is an asset
