Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design automotive wiring harnesses and manage the packaging of electrical/electronic components
• Perform wiring harness optimization studies and create detailed technical drawings
• Conduct benchmarking and packaging studies for electrical/electronic modules and systems to define vehicle locations
• Collaborate with the Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineering (EESE) team to develop engineered solutions
• Design attachment schemes or brackets (plastic/sheet metal) as required
• Communicate effectively with program stakeholders and suppliers

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness design and electrical component packaging
• Extensive experience with CATIA V5 and 3DX (Electrical Harness Design, Part Modelling, and Surface design)
• Strong knowledge of Vehicle Architecture, including aggregate groups, sub-groups, and sub-systems
• Proficiency in Teamcenter Engineering and Vismockup
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter while collaborating effectively in a team environment
