Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between Design and Engineering teams to implement, refine, and optimize interactions, details, and animations
• Partner with Designers to translate ambitious ideas to code and provide creative feedback
• Prototype with code to validate ideas and accelerate decision-making
• Work alongside Engineers to translate design concepts into performant product features
• Contribute reusable interaction patterns, motion systems, and frontend components
• Champion frontend craft, including interaction design, animation, accessibility, and performance
• Explore emerging technologies to push the boundaries of digital marketing and product experiences

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, Creative Developer, Design Technologist, or similar role
• Exceptional attention to detail and passion for digital craft
• Advanced knowledge of CSS, including animations, responsive design, and rendering performance
• Proven experience with UI animations using GSAP or comparable libraries
• Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Ability to prototype and communicate ideas through code
• Experience collaborating with designers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle
• A portfolio of shipped products and interactive prototypes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with three.js and 3D tools like Blender or Cinema 4D
• Familiarity with WebGL, shaders, or advanced graphics technologies
• Experience optimizing interactive content for various devices
• Professional experience in motion graphics and animation
