Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design from discovery through delivery, collaborating with internal users and stakeholders
• Prototype in code to create interactive designs that evolve directly into production
• Independently ship UI/UX fixes and polish to production to ensure product consistency
• Build and maintain a cohesive design system by identifying scalable patterns
• Experiment with new UI/UX to improve customer experience and add delightful moments

Requirements

• Ability to work in a production codebase using React and TypeScript
• Experience building AI products professionally or as side projects
• Strong systems thinking and ability to build design languages
• High autonomy and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
• Strong eye for detail and intentionality in design choices
• Bias toward action and ability to move fast

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup background or founder experience
• Engineering background, including frontend experience or CS coursework
• Up-to-date knowledge of frontend engineering trends
