Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure product design and architecture meet customer quality, manufacturing, cost, and timing requirements.
• Manage CAD resources and lead 3D and 2D design activities.
• Perform feasibility analyses regarding styling surfaces, parting lines, injection, demoulding, and assembly.
• Build geometry files with stack-ups and tolerances and ensure validation by the Geometry Engineer.
• Liaise with toolmakers and injection engineers to optimize part design for tool feasibility.
• Validate the quality of CAD files received from customers and suppliers.
• Lead Design Reviews and execute necessary action plans.
• Manage the technical flow of information with CAD offices and Tier 2 suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastic design rules (shrinkage analysis, demoulding, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD engineering and mould engineering principles.
• Experience in plastic parts design and basic mechanical rules.
• Ability to define isostatism systems and build stack-up folders.
• Fluency in English.
