Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Agree technical requirements of the client remit and lead development of fee proposals
• Organise and lead the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff
• Ensure technical compliance of designs and adherence to legal requirements, CDM Regulations, and SHEMS/QMS
• Oversee production of design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports, and risk assessments
• Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
• Act as lead representative at project and progress meetings with clients
• Manage financial and commercial aspects of projects, including monitoring budgets and reviewing invoices
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress reports to management and clients

Requirements

• Completed IEng Initial Professional Development or CEng equivalent progress with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE)
• Practical industry relevant experience
• Level 6 or Level 7 qualifications
• Significant relevant engineering experience
