About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and develop innovative power tool components from conception to production
  • Perform mechanical stress analysis, material selection, tolerance and fit analyses, and machine element design
  • Evaluate product designs relative to material selection, cost, and reliability
  • Develop manufacturing-ready designs to ensure efficient mass production
  • Work as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems with manufacturing teams and suppliers
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and component suppliers to meet performance requirements
  • Develop and analyze test requests with the Milwaukee Tool Test Laboratory
  • Participate in field research with professional users to understand product application

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a related design field
  • Proficiency in GD&T and CAD software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (Domestic and International)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design experience specifically within a related industry
  • Exposure to electro-mechanical design and systems
