About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and develop innovative power tool components from conception to production
- Perform mechanical stress analysis, material selection, tolerance and fit analyses, and machine element design
- Evaluate product designs relative to material selection, cost, and reliability
- Develop manufacturing-ready designs to ensure efficient mass production
- Work as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems with manufacturing teams and suppliers
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and component suppliers to meet performance requirements
- Develop and analyze test requests with the Milwaukee Tool Test Laboratory
- Participate in field research with professional users to understand product application
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a related design field
- Proficiency in GD&T and CAD software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 10% (Domestic and International)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of design experience specifically within a related industry
- Exposure to electro-mechanical design and systems
