About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop design solutions for a wide range of simple to routine aircraft structure repair tasks
- Review and interpret damage reports from Maintenance Repair Organizations to create quality repair solutions
- Collaborate with Static Stress, Fatigue, and Damage Tolerance departments to optimize repair designs
- Create and modify technical documents including repair instructions, drawings, and technical communications
- Provide clear and concise responses to routine repair queries from Airbus Operations and Customer Services
- Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through better processes and tools
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Civil, or Mechanical)
- 0 to 3 years of experience in design or analysis with airframe structures
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively
- Must be currently local to the Wichita, KS metro area
- Authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Internship experience in the aerospace engineering field with airframe analysis
- Experience with MRO/Fleet Engineering or Material Review Board (MRB) processes
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or 3DExperience
- Conversational French and/or German
