Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and junction box drawings
• Configure, modify, and troubleshoot automation and control programs for PLCs, HMIs, and relays
• Support manufacturing by releasing project material lists and answering technical fabrication questions
• Assist in commissioning, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial generator packages
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service for engine-driven power generation equipment
• Participate in factory acceptance testing and pre-shipment system verification
• Troubleshoot synchronization systems, generator controls, and transfer systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 2–4 years of experience in power generation systems, controls engineering, or medium-voltage equipment
• Familiarity with switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motors, and generator controls
• Knowledge of industrial electrical standards and NEC requirements
• Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and single-line drawings
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and protective relays
• Ability to support both office engineering and field commissioning activities
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
