Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Clarify and define design requirements and estimate design expenditure for individual assemblies and components
• Prepare performance specifications based on existing requirement specifications
• Develop design drafts using CAD data, considering technical, functional, and economical aspects
• Create detailed 3D documents and design solutions for assemblies and components
• Select appropriate materials and standards, and specify necessary tolerances
• Collaborate with Process Planning, Quality Planning, and Laboratory departments to agree on design changes
• Participate in the drafting of design FMEA based on customer requirements
• Arrange and oversee mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, and thermal testing on sample devices
• Monitor tolerance classifications and implement simulation-based analysis projects

Requirements

• B-Tech or M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in design engineering
• Very good knowledge of CAD software
• Experience with design FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Strong understanding of material selection, tolerances, and technical standards
