Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Clarify and define design requirements and estimate design expenditure for individual assemblies and components
• Develop design drafts based on customer CAD data, considering technical, material, and economical aspects
• Prepare 3D documents and detailed design solutions for assemblies and components
• Select appropriate materials and standards, and specify tolerances for drawings
• Collaborate with Process Planning, Quality Planning, and Laboratory departments to agree on design changes
• Participate in the drafting of design FMEA based on customer requirements
• Arrange and oversee mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, and thermal testing on sample devices
• Implement tolerance classifications for modules and monitor compliance
• Manage data exchange with internal and external stakeholders and report deviations from targets

Requirements

• B-Tech or M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in design engineering
• Very good knowledge of CAD software
• Strong understanding of design FMEA
• Experience with tolerance specification and geometric tolerances
