Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a robust, scalable design system in both Figma and code
• Prototype and ship high-quality, production-ready UI including typography, color, motion, and microinteractions
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering from concept to implementation
• Maintain consistency across Mac, Windows, and iOS platforms
• Identify and fix gaps between design and engineering to raise product quality
• Help invent new interaction patterns for AI-driven tools

Requirements

• Experience as a Design Engineer, frontend engineer with design skills, or designer with engineering skills
• High proficiency with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
• Solid grasp of modern frontend architecture
• Strong visual and interaction design skills with a focus on polish and detail
• Ability to prototype in Figma, code, or AI tools
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Ability to work in-person from the London office
