Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Configure and design variations of current protein product lines to meet customer requirements
• Develop and document repeatable design procedures to ensure consistency and quality
• Create 3-D models and manufacturing/assembly drawings using Creo software
• Supply accurate bills of materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, assembly, and customer service
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with customer needs and cost targets
• Perform design calculations, simulations, and prototype testing to validate performance and safety
• Support manufacturing and quality divisions during ongoing production and new product introductions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related technical field
• 5-10 years of experience in design or product engineering
• Proficiency in Creo and Windchill
• Strong solid modeling skills and understanding of mechanical design best practices
• Experience with sheet metal production, machining, and assembly
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with airflow or ventilation design
