About the role
Responsibilities
- Configure and design variations of current protein product lines to meet customer requirements
- Develop and document repeatable design procedures to ensure consistency and quality
- Create 3-D models and manufacturing/assembly drawings using Creo software
- Supply accurate bills of materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, assembly, and customer service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with customer needs and cost targets
- Perform design calculations, simulations, and prototype testing to validate performance and safety
- Support manufacturing and quality divisions during ongoing production and new product introductions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related technical field
- 5-10 years of experience in design or product engineering
- Proficiency in Creo and Windchill
- Strong solid modeling skills and understanding of mechanical design best practices
- Experience with sheet metal production, machining, and assembly
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with airflow or ventilation design
