Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and configure product variations for grain storage systems and accessories to meet customer requirements
• Develop and maintain standardized design procedures to improve efficiency and consistency
• Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and order fulfillment
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using Creo
• Collaborate cross-functionally to incorporate the Voice of the Customer into product designs
• Evaluate designs for risk, manufacturability, cost, and performance
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product integrity
• Support prototype builds and validation testing to verify safety and performance
• Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural, Biological, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
• 5–10 years of engineering experience, ideally in product development
• Proven experience taking products from concept through production release

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Creo and Windchill
• Background in the agriculture industry
• Knowledge of structural analysis and building codes
• Experience with MatLab, MathCad, or RISA software
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or desire to obtain one
