About the role
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in metal building system design methodologies, including complex framing and custom configurations
- Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Engineering Manager
- Engage directly with customers to develop optimized building solutions
- Design and oversee high-complexity metal building systems ensuring compliance with structural codes
- Provide professional oversight for projects requiring signature and seal
- Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost reduction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE or SE) Licensure
- Minimum of 10 years of experience for Level IV or 20 years for Level V in metal building design or structural engineering
- Proficiency in structural design and modeling software such as RISA, STAAD, Tekla, or AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
