Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create sophisticated new mechanical designs and products to meet program scope and manufacturability requirements
• Research product trends to optimize cost and system performance
• Perform calculations and analysis for new product development regarding load, force, and component strength
• Identify design risks using the DFMEA process and collaborate with manufacturing engineers on PFEMA mitigation
• Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure project guidelines and schedules are met
• Maintain product documentation and support continuous improvement after product launch

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven technical knowledge and skills in mechanical design
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in compressor design
• Strong background knowledge of refrigeration systems
