About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute and lead design work packages with support from internal and external experts
- Create technical definition solutions within agreed scope, budget, and schedule
- Create, configure, and prepare design data for development, production, and customer service
- Ensure all design data complies with technical regulations, customer, authority, and manufacturing requirements
- Review completed design data for completeness, functionality, and calculation accuracy
- Perform design analyses for components and assemblies to ensure cost efficiency, safety, and reliability
- Prepare and implement design changes and redesigns due to manufacturing issues or customer requirements
- Support product change management and collaborate with other business departments
Requirements
- Up to 4 years of formal study in engineering, or comparable knowledge/experience
- Competent technical specialist competence
- Ability to influence others regarding guidelines, practices, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the aerospace industry
