About the role

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment, or processes
  • Conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for products, equipment, and subsystem components
  • Create and release engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), ASME calculations, and routings
  • Analyze data to determine product feasibility and ensure designs can be produced by existing manufacturing facilities
  • Prepare product or system layouts and detailed drawings/schematics, coordinating the building of prototype products
  • Plan and develop experimental test programs to evaluate results and eliminate defects in new or existing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of related experience and/or training in a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as heavy equipment manufacturing, welding technology, and heat transfer design
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, professional journals, or governmental regulations
  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to follow complex instructions in written, oral, or diagram form

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Solid Modeling and 3D Design
  • Experience with ASME (Section VIII & Section I), PED, ATEX, NEC, NACE, ANSI, and TEMA codes
