Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design-related activities for assigned programs across the full product lifecycle, focusing on electric motor systems and components.
• Drive the development of optimized design solutions to ensure performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Represent design engineering in Development Team Meetings to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Participate in formal design reviews, including DFMEA and specification reviews, with an emphasis on motor performance and durability.
• Support design validation through FEA, force/performance calculations, and testing.
• Mentor junior engineers in motor-related design best practices, kinematics, and CAD systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in automotive design engineering.
• Strong expertise in electric motor systems, actuators, or drive mechanisms.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and ENOVIA.
• Experience with FEA, kinematics development, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of tolerance stack-up and GD&T.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electromechanical integration and torque/force requirements.
• Experience with braking, steering, or thermal systems.
