Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fit-for-purpose products and engineered solutions for global mining customers
• Perform engineering activities including solid modelling, detailed drafting, hand calculations, and tolerance studies
• Conduct analysis, simulation, and reverse engineering to improve product performance
• Support product failure investigations by identifying root causes and improvement opportunities
• Maintain accurate product data, including CAD models and Bill of Materials, within the PLM system
• Prepare technical and wear prediction reports by analyzing engineering data and trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, validate, and launch new products and services

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design, development, or engineering services
• Hands-on experience with CAD modelling, engineering drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Proficiency in using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Practical experience with fabrications and castings
• Strong ability to translate design requirements into detailed engineering specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NX and Teamcenter
• Knowledge of Ansys, CAD Automation, AI tools, and Product Rendering tools
• Experience using project management tools to track and manage work
