Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation
• Support reverse engineering, product improvements, and new concept design
• Complete analysis, simulation, and technical checks to ensure safe and reliable product design
• Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure designs are manufacturable and supportable
• Support field evaluations and product reviews through site and manufacturing visits
• Capture product data, specifications, and design changes in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
• Provide technical input to internal teams regarding product performance and design intent

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field
• Experience in mechanical design, product design, reliability engineering, or product development
• Experience in mining equipment, construction equipment, heavy manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
• Strong capability in 3D CAD, detailed drafting, and engineering analysis
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel locally and regionally (approximately 10–20%)
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Siemens NX, ANSYS, or Siemens Teamcenter PLM
• Experience with 3D scanning tools
• Knowledge of surface mining equipment, crawler systems, or manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, MSHA, or relevant regional mine hazard training
• Spanish or French language capability
