Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical development of fuel cell stack components, parts, jigs, and tools
• Create advanced, parameterized CAD models and perform assembly checks
• Define and perform mechanical analyses, including thermal, fluid, and electrical aspects
• Prepare and release manufacturing drawings and essential engineering documents like Bills of Material (BOM)
• Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEAs) and Process FMEAs
• Coordinate the procurement, manufacturing, and assembly of components
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Supply Chain, Cost Engineering, and Quality

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Expert knowledge in CAD-based design of bipolar plates
• Substantial professional background in fuel cell stack development
• Proficiency with 3D-CAD tools such as Catia or 3DX
• Ability to interpret results from FEM and CFD simulations
• Programming competence in Python
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German
