About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical development of fuel cell stack components, parts, jigs, and tools
- Create advanced, parameterized CAD models and perform assembly checks
- Define and perform mechanical analyses, including thermal, fluid, and electrical aspects
- Prepare and release manufacturing drawings and essential engineering documents like Bills of Material (BOM)
- Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEAs) and Process FMEAs
- Coordinate the procurement, manufacturing, and assembly of components
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Supply Chain, Cost Engineering, and Quality
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Expert knowledge in CAD-based design of bipolar plates
- Substantial professional background in fuel cell stack development
- Proficiency with 3D-CAD tools such as Catia or 3DX
- Ability to interpret results from FEM and CFD simulations
- Programming competence in Python
- Fluent proficiency in both English and German
