Design Director, Ready-to-Wear Pre-Collection

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers in creating elevated products across the RTW Pre-Collection and swimwear categories
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept and research through to engineering and commercialization
• Uphold design integrity and ensure high-quality execution and calendar adherence
• Create original sketches, detailed technical packs, and design specifications for sampling
• Research global fashion trends, fabric innovations, color, and silhouettes to inspire seasonal direction
• Mentor and manage designers and assistant designers to foster creative development and collaboration
• Partner with Merchandising and Product Development to analyze performance and guide future assortments
• Attend fittings and provide clear design direction to ensure fit and aesthetic alignment

Requirements

• 12+ years of design experience in womenswear, with a strong focus on wovens
• Proven leadership experience managing design teams and driving cross-functional collaboration
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and patternmaking
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), PLM systems, and Microsoft Office
• Experience developing products directly with factories from concept through engineering
• Excellent hand or digital sketching abilities and a strong sense of style and color
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• A strong digital portfolio of work is required
