Design Coordinator - Retail

Responsibilities

• Develop space plans, site plans, and construction documents including floor plans, elevations, and sections
• Utilize BIM technologies to develop three-dimensional models of buildings and components
• Perform on-site field verifications and measurements of existing buildings and spaces
• Coordinate and review building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure design intent compatibility
• Interpret and apply building, zoning, and accessibility codes to individual projects
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform contract administration tasks such as punch walks
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of building systems and materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Understanding of the design and construction documentation process
• Knowledge of building construction systems, materials, and industry standards
• Ability to conduct space planning and block planning in coordination with client programs
• Knowledge of accessibility codes and applicable building codes

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Architecture licensure
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, Rhino, SketchUP, or Enscape
