Design Consultant/Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and survey teams to develop electrical facility designs
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and developers
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, costs, and safety requirements
• Partner with CAD Technicians to provide design sketches and review completed drawings
• Utilize CAD tools to support and review electrical distribution designs
• Perform field visits to verify site conditions and identify design constraints
• Prepare material lists and calculate design and construction costs
• Ensure designs comply with municipal permitting and engineering standards
• Identify and resolve job-site hazards and encroachment issues

Requirements

• Experience in electrical distribution system design
• Proficiency with CAD tools
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil, and architectural plan sets
• Knowledge of electrical components and conductor types
• Ability to perform field site visits
