About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, integration, and validation of complex electronic and electrical sensor subsystems for the P-8 aircraft
- Translate system requirements into architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications
- Oversee testing and validation efforts to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Manage supplier performance, technical management, and compliance with Source Control Drawing requirements
- Provide production build support, including troubleshooting during installation, check-out, and acceptance testing
- Develop and maintain subsystem diagrams, schematics, and system description documentation
- Support project management activities including work statements, budgets, and schedules
Requirements
- 9-14 years of experience in the design, integration, and test of electrical systems (depending on seniority level)
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
- Active US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Designer in the aviation or aerospace industry
- Proficiency with electronics lab instrumentation including multiscope, TDR, signal/network analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Experience with RF measurements such as intermodulation distortion, phase noise, and S-parameters
- Knowledge of high frequency RF, digital, power, and analog test systems
- Experience leading teams of technicians in fault isolation and troubleshooting of electrical wire assemblies
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux command line and product configuration management
