Deputy Secretary General

Responsibilities

• Take over European Affairs agendas and actively represent the savings group's positions to EU institutions and international savings associations
• Continuously monitor and analyze regulatory developments
• Prepare essential regulatory and supervisory topics (especially Banking Act, regulation, data management/security) for member institutes
• Coordinate internal consensus building within the savings group and participate in strategic development
• Design professional stakeholder management (national, European, international) and represent the ÖSPV in committees and at specialist events
• Support the Secretary General in negotiations, interest balancing, strategic decision implementation, and staff leadership

Requirements

• Sound commercial education and ongoing further training in specialist and management topics
• Several years of relevant leadership experience with an appropriate span of control
• Deep understanding of banking (Banking Act, business models, bank management), ideally with experience in market risk, risk, compliance, or supervisory functions
• Know-how regarding relevant regulations, supervisory requirements, and data management/security
• Experience in stakeholder management and advocacy, ideally in associations or with regulatory authorities
• High leadership and management competence
• Strong communication, cooperation, and professional relationship-building skills
• Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with high implementation competence
• Willingness to travel
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
