About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple legal entities, including blue-collar and management staff.
- Oversee the Full & Final settlement process and prepare salary payout files for timely disbursement.
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliations, including salary registers, statutory deductions, and finance books.
- Ensure strict compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including payroll posting and accruals.
- Manage internal and external audits and maintain robust payroll documentation and SOPs.
- Resolve employee queries regarding salary, taxes, deductions, and benefits with high service orientation.
- Lead and develop a small team of payroll professionals.
- Generate MIS reports and variance analysis to provide leadership with real-time cost insights.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Commerce; an MBA in HR or Finance is preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience managing payroll and financial compliance in medium or large organizations.
- Deep knowledge of contemporary payroll systems and related accounting processes.
- Proven experience with statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS) and audit management.
- Strong analytical ability and a strategic, process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
