Deputy Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the settlement of subcontracting rates and revisions for three manufacturing plants in Pune.
• Execute subcontracting cost calculations, comparisons, and commercial negotiations through the S/C Purchase Committee process.
• Negotiate commercial terms and establish long-term frame agreements with vendors.
• Identify capable vendors, issue RFQs, and release subcontracting purchase orders via SAP.
• Ensure adherence to subcontracting rate finalization and approval SOPs.
• Coordinate with Operations, PMPS, Controlling, Quality, and Assembly departments for commercial activities.
• Monitor open subcontracting PRs to ensure timely conversion to POs.
• Maintain SAP data including INFO records, source lists, and mass data updates.
• Prepare monthly MIS data related to rate settlement and validation.

Requirements

• BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-10 years of professional experience specifically in subcontracting activities.
• Proven expertise in costing and commercial negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, painting, coatings, and welding.
• Proficiency in the SAP-MM Module and MS Office.
• Understanding of machine per hour rates and industrial engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vendor evaluation, assessment, and approval processes.
• Established knowledge of the subcontracting vendor base.
• Familiarity with commercial contract management.
