About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end ocean export shipment lifecycle for assigned accounts while ensuring adherence to customer SOPs.
- Maintain operational excellence by executing shipments, processing pre-alerts, and managing governmental filings.
- Ensure high levels of data integrity regarding shipment details, INCOterms, routing, and documentation.
- Act as a team lead and first level of problem escalation to ensure prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate strong relationships with customers, internal offices, agents, and service providers.
- Coach and mentor team members on operational standards, pricing strategies, and new employee onboarding.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with account management to propose process improvements and identify consultative leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Ocean Export within the Global Forwarding industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Quality Management (ISO 9001).
- Extensive industry knowledge regarding international shipping regulations and processes.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to resolve problems decisively.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain high audit compliance.
