Deputy General Manager

Responsibilities

• Duty manage events and programming to the highest standard
• Act as a primary point of contact and venue liaison for contracted events and touring parties
• Work collaboratively with the venue team, local authorities, and company head office
• Assist the General Manager with licensing administration, risk assessments, and business objectives
• Support the line management, training, and motivation of team members
• Maintain the venue to the highest standards and ensure all paperwork and reporting is professionally retained
• Track and review cost estimates and expenses to meet commercial targets
• Liaise with outsourced contractors and service providers to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Experience in the live entertainment industry or venue management
• Proven track record in duty managing events within the entertainment or club sector
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing laws
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience motivating others
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
• Understanding of live event booking and promotion
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
