Deputy General Counsel - Corporate Transactions

Responsibilities

• Lead a legal team overseeing a broad portfolio of strategic corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
• Serve as a strategic legal advisor to senior executive leadership, providing business-forward counsel on complex and high-impact matters.
• Anticipate legal, regulatory, reputational, and business risks to help leaders make informed, pragmatic decisions.
• Partner with business leaders to structure creative and practical solutions that advance enterprise priorities while protecting long-term interests.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing legal team by fostering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive operational excellence within the function through effective prioritization, resourcing, and scalable delivery of legal services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of significant legal experience leading complex corporate transactions.
• Strong legal judgment with a demonstrated ability to assess risk and advise senior leadership.
• Exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate legal analysis into actionable business advice.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Active license in good standing to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree or equivalent international degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong executive presence.
