Deputy Executive Director of Election Administration

Responsibilities

• Oversee County Board of Elections and Voter Registration programs
• Manage, direct, and supervise subordinate clerical and technical staff
• Develop and implement metrics to track effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of staff
• Coordinate policy development and prepare policies for Commissioners
• Supervise the Training Manager and ensure standardized training implementation
• Manage internal and external communications programs
• Lead employee engagement and internal culture-building initiatives
• Ensure HR onboarding, recruitment, performance management, and compliance
• Support administrative governance and operational alignment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
• Ability to reside within the City of Philadelphia within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of local, state, or federal politics
• Fluency in languages other than English
