About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the EHS Manager in overseeing operations and programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
- Instill a safety-first mentality and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries
- Coach, guide, and advise senior functional and operations partners on EHS requirements and regulatory compliance
- Plan, implement, monitor, and review all aspects of EHS performance to ensure continual improvement
- Ensure timely incident reporting and conduct high-standard investigations to develop key learnings
- Drive the delivery of the EHS training program to ensure all employees complete mandatory training
- Lead the EHS audit program and manage the close-out of improvement actions
- Develop plans, procedures, and policies to continuously improve the EHS program
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (for Australian citizens)
- 3-5 years of related experience with managerial or supervisory responsibilities
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, OR Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TSPV clearance
- Experience working to ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards
- Proven experience as an incident investigator and EHS Auditor
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting to management
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar professional certification
- ICAM Lead Investigator certification
