About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of project directors and project managers
- Oversee the design and construction of capital projects
- Resolve project issues and ensure projects meet target dates and budgets
- Implement and adhere to Public Buildings’ policies and procedures
- Interface with sponsor agencies and assist with approvals and permitting
- Prepare consultant and contractor performance evaluations
- Assist in developing the Unit’s Commitment Plan and meeting KPIs
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration
- Five years of experience in planning, administering, or expediting engineering design or construction
- Two years of experience in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity
- Must be permanent in the Administrative Project Manager title or on the DDC promotional/open-competitive lists
- Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Law degree
- Valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Landscape Architect
