About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the agency’s multi-billion-dollar capital budget and a staff of professional financial analysts
- Build strong relationships with OMB, DDC project managers, engineers, and sponsor agencies
- Monitor and report on the progress of the fiscal year commitment plan for client agencies
- Lead staff in initiating Certificates to Proceed (CP) and ensure capital eligibility
- Approve Budget Code Modifications (BCM), Object Code Modifications (OJM), Requisition Commodities (RQC1), and Fixed Asset Intent (FN) in FMS
- Supervise staff to ensure timely completion of budget functions and FMS authorizations
- Innovate and implement new procedures to improve business processes and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree with 24 accounting credits (including advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting) plus four years of professional accounting/auditing experience, with 18 months in a managerial/supervisory capacity; OR
- Valid New York State CPA license and at least 18 months of professional accounting/auditing experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity
- Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without sponsorship
